KIPPER

IS THIS THE GREATEST ROCK'N'ROLL BAND IN GODS CREATION?

Aah Kipper,Whither dost thou dwell now?
Ladies & gentlemen, please allow me to indulge myself & bring to your attention, what should have been one of the most pivotal turning points in rock'n'roll history.
The year was 1975, the location was the Civic Hall, Borehamwood.
The band Kipper were giving a performance for the Clapham old girls, who were out for the day on a coach trip. (Now that's what I call radical).
There have been many shows which will go down in the annals of history. The Beatles at Shea Stadium, the Stones at Hyde Park, The Pistols at Manchester Lesser Free Trade Hall & of course the King in his 68 comeback special.
All of these shows however, are surpassed in no uncertain terms by the mighty 'Kipper' at the Borehamwood Civic Hall in 1975, both in terms of historical importance & the sheer incendiary force of the bands performance.

They were originally called 'Bloater', but changed their name to 'Kipper' to add a touch of glamour.
Fronted by the more than able 'Nutter Normington', he was the super yob version of Jerry Lee Lewis, playing the piano with his forehead & his arse.
In a show which saw 2 of the audience suffering heart attacks, the band tore the place up with classics such as the band anthem 'Kipper' & the ultra violent 'Do the Clapham'. Rumour has it, that a certain Mr Malcolm Mclaren was present at the show with a view to signing 'em up, however, he thought the boys were a little too much to handle.
Aaah, how history could have been changed on that day!

The show was brought to a premature close, when the band incited a riot amongst the audience by placing explosives in their amplifiers & in 'Nutters' grand piano, nearly burning the whole building down to the ground in the process.
Luckily for us, a camera crew was present on that day & managed to capture for posterity, history unfolding before our very eyes.
So here it is in all it's glory; the final moments of Kipper at the Civic Hall Borehamwood.
Watch & weep at what may have been.

Ladies & gentlemen, I give you Kipper.
Probably the greatest rock'n'roll band in gods creation.
CHIN CHIN!
